About your Guides and SEAK outfitters
Captain Tel Brown
To keep it simple I'm obsessed with hunting and fishing. Thats how I ended up in Alaska. I have been fortunate enough to not only hunt all over Alaska but all over the country and that is why I decided to start SouthEast Alaska Outfitters. We have a truly one of kind place here in Southeast when it comes to waterfowl and fishing and I as soon as I moved here I made it a mission to experience all of it. Big game hunting is a passion of mine but as soon as I started training labs waterfowl hunting became a huge part of who I am. From hunting barley fields for cranes and geese, to duck hunting the wetlands and inlets of coastal Alaska, and even emperor geese in the Aleutians I have fully committed to hunting waterfowl. So now I try to share those experiences with other people who are just as obsessed as me, because I know how special that first harlequin is.
Captain Jared Markovich
I'm a born and raised Alaskan. I've been hunting the wetlands here in Juneau since I was 4 with my father carrying me on his shoulders. I got my first skiff when I was 11 and it was pretty much over after that. My dad would drop me off in the morning and wouldn't come get me until dark hopefully with a limit in the boat and I have been chasing sea ducks since I was 14. I've always been willing to work to find a great hunting and fishing spot. when it wasn't duck season I spent a lot of my youth looking for the most exciting way to catch salmon, especially king salmon. From fly fishing to trolling the open water I have tried just about everything. Now I'm here to help other people catch their first king salmon.
SEAK Outfitters
We started SEAK because we were lucky enough to be able to do once of a lifetime hunts every year, and every year we took out more and more new people. We started hunting together on the wetlands of Juneau for puddle ducks and geese. This expanded to the ocean for sea ducks and salmon. Year after year we took out new people so catch their first salmon and hunt their first sea duck or crane. Finally, we decided to do this full time and share our passion with people wanting that experience you can only get in Alaska. So if you are looking for a chance to catch a salmon on the fly, hunt cranes out of layouts, or shoot your first harlequin look no further.
